Welcome
Warwick Sloss is an award-winning camera operator and Director of Photography on films and television programmes. He works mainly in science and natural history documentaries, where specialist filming techniques are required. His work appears in various programmes, including Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and Africa.
Warwick has always been passionate about monochrome photography and he continues to enjoy it alongside his filming career. The fine art black-and-white work shown here represents a step back from modern digital techniques, and recaptures the simplicity of a stills camera, a lens and a strip of film. He develops, prints and tones all of his images by hand.
He is based near Bristol, UK.
